1 John 4:10-12
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

LOVE, but does it have limits and boundaries?
What is love.....
What is love? That's a question I've been asking too. In 1 Cor. 13:4-8 is the model answer for most Christians. But they were just "words" for me until I become a parent. Love has to be experienced and practise. Otherwise it's just an ideal that can hardly be reached. Let's continue to work on it with the help from the Holy Spirit.
Does love have limits and boundaries? I remember Paul's prayer to the Philippians in Phi 1:9 "that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight". Paul's wish, and my wish too, is that our love from Christ can be so full that it can overflow from us, that our life can become a symbol of love. It also mentioned that such love should have "knowledge and depth of insight". Knowledge comes from knowing God, and insight comes from experiencing God. Yes, love cannot be blind. we should not love a person in a way as to spoil him. Love has its bases, base on our knowledge of God so that we can discern what is the best to others.
Lord, I'm not worthy of your love. But thank You that You love us even though we are sinners. Lord, I don't really know how to love, please show me. Let me experience more of your love. I wish that your love can be so overwhelming in me that it can flow out naturally to other people. Let us be a symbol of your love so that more people can be attracted to You. Lord, these are my wish but I don't know if I can ever make it. Let the Holy Spirit help me. Amen.
