Acts 2:44-47
44All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. 46Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

I'm glad to see that I have a better connection with brothers and sister than before our church planting. Though we don't "have everything in common" nor do we "sell our possessions..." nor do we "meet everyday", it is already better than I imagine. I treasure the communion of those b/s who are willing to open up and share their friendship. But there are still quite many "small circles" around, or some who prefer to keep a distance from others.
Lord, they may be going through different spiritual stage, help me to understand the individuality, challenges, struggles or many reasons behind their preference of keeping a distance. God help me cultivate relations with them with love, patience and with a considerate heart. I wish everyone of us know how to connect with each other in a way God love to see.
Dear Lord, thank you for making us as a community. From the beginning You have said "it is not good for the man to be alone". We are not meant to be alone in this world. How can we pratise our love, our virtues if we were all alone. You want us to be together, to become the body of Christ. Though nowadays it's hard to do exactly what the apostles did in the old days, but in this new church we are trying to be more like them. We share our feeling and struggles; we open our houses for fellowship and prayers and bible studies; and we eat together "with glad and sincere heart". Yes God, how nice it is for us to eat with a "glad and sincere heart", it's much better than any kind of feast or banquet.
Recently i really felt frustrated with the stress in handling both minitries and family chores. I am not a good and effective home-maker. So taking care of the family chores seems harder for me than as a working woman.
When reading the Scripture from Acts, what captured me most is the object of in the passage, "All believers" "They". It means everyone contributes, everyone involves, and everyone enjoys together with gladness and sincere hearts. How beautiful the picture is! Does such picture exist in our church life, in our family life? I believe yes, and it really exists. But there are still rooms for growth so that no one will feel lonely when serving God, no matter at church, at workplace or in families.
Dear heavenly father, help me to experience the unity and connecting hearts in the biblical community and take away my lonely feeling when i am blinded from seeing the good work that brothers and sisters done to me, to the church and to their families.
Amen
