Day 23

羅馬書12:4-6
正如我們一個身子上有好些肢體,肢體也不都是一樣的用處,我們這許多人,在基督裏成為一身,互相聯絡作肢體,也是如此。按我們所得的恩賜,各有不同;或說預言,就當照著信心的程度說預言;

Romans 12:4-6
Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith.

Thank you Lord that I have the opportunity to serve you. It all starts with you grace. I should take no credit of my own because my abilities and talents are all come from you. Even equipped with spiritual gifts, I still need to live in your grace to have the privilege to serve.

Help me examine my motivation of each service. I should ask myself who am I really serving? Who is ultimately taking the credits and glory?

God make us all unique and different. We all have different kinds of gifts to compliment each other. Gifts come by the grace of God, not by our own effort. Therefore we cannot say that my gift is better than yours, and we should make good use of it according to our faith. We should not boast about it but on the other hand should not hide away from serving the Lord saying that I have no talent or ability. Just like the money God give to His servant, if we don't use it, it might be taken away. But the more we make good use of it, the more effective it will be.

Thank You Lord for making our church one body and we belong to each other. Let us use our gifts in proportion to our faith. Help us to work together in harmony that Your name can be glorified.
